BP U.S. Pipelines & Logistics (USPL) is a midstream business which owns and operates pipelines and terminal facilities in the lower 48 states and the Gulf of Mexico. USPL safely transports more than 1.1 million barrels per day of oil, refined products and natural gas through nearly 3,200 miles of pipelines.

The Electrical & Mechanical Specialist (E&M) position provides electrical and mechanical maintenance work and field operations for BP US Pipelines & Logistics. The E&M role is a multi-craft position focused primarily on electrical & mechanical duties.

Key accountabilities:
? Successfully and effectively follow all health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE) and operational and maintenance practices and procedures
? Be motivated and accountable for achieving long-term and day- to-day goals and tasks
? Effectively demonstrate and transfer work related knowledge to others
? Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed but not limited to eye/face protection, flame retardant clothing (FRC), foot protection, gloves, hearing protection, head protection, etc.
? Verify satellite system signal strength and Arcom Director
? Maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment as assigned.
? Maintain electrical switchgear
? Wire complete electrical systems
? Conduct and document DOT equipment inspections
? Responsible for damage prevention duties when needed
? Maintain and repair pumps and motors including positive displacement (PD), centrifugal and gear pumping equipment
? Troubleshoot and repair manual and automatic tank gauging. Verify instrumentation loop circuits
? Maintain and repair electronic-control valves, electrical valve actuators and mechanical valves
? Installation and maintenance of multiple equipment associated with petroleum liquids gas terminals and pipeline
? Meet all DOT requirements, including Operator Qualifications
? Emergency Response training, including Hazwoper, RCRA, respiratory and other as required
Essential Education:
+ 2 year technical degree OR 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical work AND a High School diploma/GED
Desirable criteria and qualifications:
? 2-4 years of experience in field pipeline operations and maintenance or equivalent
? DOT and OQ qualified
? Knowledge of applicable Federal and State regulations, CFR 49 Part 195 (for liquid pipelines)

Essential experience and job requirements:
+ Must live in a 50 mile radius of work location

+ Valid driver?s license and ability to drive a pick-up truck or similar, on and off the road.
